According to Ion Arocena,general director of AseBio, the sector has reached historic milestonesin recent years: investment in R&D has exceeded 1,200 million euros, and biotech companies have secured nearly 230 million euros in private investment, setting an all-time record. This growth is also reflected in the business landscape, which has expanded from just over 50 biotech companies two decades ago to close to 1,000 today.
